Privacy Policy

At Cineepp, owned by Bullets, we value your privacy. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use our Cineepp mobile application (“Service”). By using our Service, you agree to the terms of this Policy.

1. No Account, No Personal Information

Cineepp has no sign-up and no login. We never ask for — and never collect — your name, email address, phone number, or any other information that identifies you personally. We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and we do not collect the advertising identifier (IDFA) on iOS.

2. Your Data Stays on Your Device

Everything you create in the app is stored locally on your device and is never sent to us or to anyone else:

Your favorites and watchlist
Titles and episodes you have marked as watched
Custom lists
Your taste profile and recommendations, which are computed on your device
Your settings, including theme, language and region

There is no cloud sync and no server-side account, which also means this data is not backed up by us. If you delete the app, it is gone. You can export and re-import your favorites from within the app if you want a copy.

3. Information We Collect

We collect anonymous telemetry to understand how the app is used and to fix what breaks. None of it is linked to your identity, because we have no identity to link it to.

Mixpanel	Usage events, an automatically generated anonymous ID, and device/OS information
Sentry	Crash and error reports, including stack traces and device/OS information (release builds only)
TMDB	Search terms and the IDs of titles you open, sent as part of ordinary API requests

We use this information to improve and optimize the Service, understand which features are used, and diagnose technical problems.

4. Permissions

Photo library — Requested only when you use the video editor in Settings › Labs, to import a clip you choose and to save the result back to your library. Cineepp does not read your library otherwise.
Notifications — Used for release and air-date reminders for titles you saved, and are scheduled on your device. We do not run a push server and cannot send you messages remotely.
Cineepp does not use the camera, the microphone, or your location.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third parties, each of which has its own privacy policy that we encourage you to review: Google (Firebase), Mixpanel, and Sentry.

Movie and TV information is provided by TMDB, and streaming availability data by JustWatch.

6. Children

Cineepp is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

7. Security

We value your trust in providing us with information, and we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect it. All network traffic is encrypted in transit. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. Changes are effective once they are posted on this page.
